Walter Ray Akers, 63 of Delbarton, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, from the Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Hospitali n Richmond, Va.
Born on Dec. 23, 1947, at Matewan, he was the son of the late Walker and Evelyn Buchanan Akers.
Funeral services wereheld at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer with the Rev. Randy Williams and Rev. Carl “Cab” Wolford officiating.
Burial followed in the Hatfield Cemetery at Sharon Heights of Hampden. Military grave side services were performed.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert.
Billy McCoy
Billy Joe McCoy, 69, of Bruno, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at the Logan Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Logan County, March 20, 1941, a son of the late Stergil and Mary Smith Altizer and Emeziah McCoy
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 31, at the Sandlick Freewill Baptist Church, Bruno. Burial followed in the Highland Memory Gardens, jGodby Heights, Pecks Mill.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert.
Frank Morgan
Frank “Doe” Morgan, 78, of Simon died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, at the Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Born Jan. 7, 1933, he was the son of the late Walter Harmon and Zelia (Bailey) Morgan.
Funeral services wereheld at The Upper Room Jesus Name Church Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 2 p.m. Burial followed in the Morgan Cemetery at Long Branch of Simon, .
Arrangements were under the direction of the Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert.
