Linda sue Chafin, 59, of Kermit, died Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at her home in Kermit. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Bessie Stanly Chafin.
Visitation will be at the Richmond-Callaham F.H. Warfield location, Thursday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Chafin Family Cemetery in Burning Creek.
Racina Chapman
Racina Rae Chapman, 23, of Justice, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, departed this life from Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown in the early hours of April 17, 2011, following a short illness.
She was born August 11, 1987, at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley to Hallie Chapman-Harless and the late Racy Chapman.
Racina was a joy to be around. She had a one-of-a-kind smile, huge heart, and infectious laugh. She was a people person who never met a stranger and had the ability to make everyone around her feel special. Rae had a special place in her heart for animals. She loved riding horses, cheerleading, playing softball, and spending time with her friends and family.
Racina was the 2005 Gilbert homecoming queen and a member of the 2006 Gilbert High School graduating class. She studied at West Virginia Tech in Montgomery before deciding that she wanted to pursue a career in cosmetology.
Racina was preceded in death by her father, Racy Chapman; her maternal grandparents, Flossie V. and Howard Cook of Justice; her maternal grandparents, Gracie and Montana Chapman of Baisden; and special loved ones, Betty and Gail Haney of Justice.
Those left to carry her in their heart and cherish her memory forever are her fiancé, Thomas “T” Bell of Havaco; her loving mother, Hallie Chaman-Harless; her step-father, James H. “Buck” Harless; her beloved brothers, Ryan and Bret Mollette all of Justice; her sister, Melanie Hess of Cane Brake; her aunts, Janet (Glenious) Cline of Cub Creek and Gay (Eddie) Chapman of Baisden; her cousin, Shawna Walls of Gilbert; a special aunt, Lana Lodato of New Jersey; her special friends Kelley Cline, Whitney Cline, Crystal Jeffery, Cyndi and Ashley Cline, Leslee Browning, Andreau Chapman, Greg and Kayla Hurley, and Michael Antolini; her godmothers, Sharon Cline and Linda Thomas; all the girls at the Justonian; the employees at Foodland Supermarket; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 22 at the Four Winds Tabernacle in Sprattsville with the Rev. Clayton Cline officiating. She will be entombed beside her father at Justice Community Cemetery at Justice at a later date.
Friends may gather with the family to celebrate Racina’s life Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Racina will be forever loved and forever missed by all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Ethel Gutowski
Ethel Gaye Weddington Gutowski of Daytona Beach Fla., formerly of Pike County passed away on March 26, 2011, in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born June 26, 1946 the daughter of the late Crit and Ella Stanley Weddington.
Funeral arrangements were handled by the Jerry Spears Company, Columbus.

Katherine Hambrick, 88, of 206 Levine Street in Williamson, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Williamson Memorial Hospital in Williamson.
