Mingo boys defeat Westside in tennis

CLEAR FORK – The Mingo Central boy’s tennis team defeated Westside for the second time this season on the road at Clear Fork.

Jason May won his singles match 8-love; Zak Roberts also won 8-love, while Julius Hatcher IV won his match 8-1. Kyle Surber won by forfeiture.

In doubles play the team of May-Hatcher won 8-1, while Roberts and Surber also picked up a win. The boy’s tennis team is now 5-3 on the season.

The girls’ team lost again, but Coach Julius Hatcher said they continue to improve. Westside shutout the MCHS women’s team seven matches to love (0). The girls are now 0-8 on the season.
