GILBERT - The Gilbert High School Touchdown Club will be hosting a "Meet n' Greet" event at Lions Field in Gilbert on Thursday, August 20 at 7:00 pm.

Activities scheduled are the introduction of the 2009 football team and cheerleaders, entertainment by the GHS Marching Band, and a cookout.

Various officials and TV media representatives have been invited to participate.

TD Club President Jim Bragg said, "We saw how the Gilbert area really came together during the recent flood disaster....I am especially proud of how our youth stepped up to help. We just want to show our appreciation to the community and especially show our support and pride to our GHS Lions! We are inviting all parents, students, and community members to join us to kick off this football season!"
