Marshall 2009-2010 Men’s Basketball Tickets Now Available

HUNTINGTON - The Marshall University Athletic Ticket Office has announced that 2009-10 men’s basketball season tickets are on sale for the upcoming season. The Thundering Herd is scheduled to play 18 home games during the upcoming campaign.

Highlighting MU’s home opponents will be defending league champion Memphis.

Other C-USA home opponents include East Carolina, Southern Miss, Tulane, Tulsa, UAB, UCF, and UTEP. Five Conference USA teams (Memphis-NCAA; NIT-Tulsa, UAB; CBI-Houston, UTEP) earned a spot in postseason play a year ago.

The Herd plays 9-of-15 non-conference games at home along with an exhibition game against West Virginia Wesleyan. MU plays 10 teams on the 2009-10 schedule which advanced to postseason play last season.

Season ticket prices start as low as $95 in the upper reserved sections. Tickets in the lower bowl chair back sections are $205, with bleacher seating behind the west basket costing $180.

Season ticket renewals went online Monday, August 17 at 5 p.m. Season ticket holders who renew online from August 17-29 will be entered in a drawing to win two tickets to see Marshall take defending national champion, North Carolina in Chapel Hill on Tuesday Dec. 22.

Any season ticket holders who have not processed their order by that date will receive a hard copy of their renewal in the mail.

Season ticket renewals that take place online after the August 29 deadline will still be entered in a an additional drawing to win four lower bowl seats to the Chesapeake Energy Capital Classic in Charleston when the Thundering Herd takes on West Virginia.

The Capital Classic will be played either January 19 or 20 in Charleston and tickets to this game can be purchased during the renewal process.

Chesapeake Energy Capital Classic tickets will be available for purchase to season ticket holders who are Big Green members. Each Big Green season ticket holder can purchase up to four lower bowl seats. All season ticket holders can purchase an unlimited amount of upper bowl seats. Tickets will be issued and assigned based on priority points.

All tickets not renewed by September 30 will be available for sale along with all other open seats starting October 3.
