MCHS first annual “Dress for Less” event

REDJACKET — Mingo Central High School’s prom committee is hosting their first ever annual “Dress for Less” event for this years prom season. The event will be held at MCHS on Saturday, February 7 from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.

The purpose of this event is to allow people to purchase prom dresses at a reasonable price and to allow people to sell their used dresses that need the extra money or simply need to clear out some closet space.

If you wish to sell a dress for this event you must arrive at MCHS between the hours of 9:00 am and 11:00 am to register your dress. There will be a $1.00 registration fee per dress to be sold.

A dressing area will be set up to allow girls to try on the dress of their choice, so you will have the same kind of experience as prom dress shopping in a boutique. Vendors are planning to set up from various dress boutiques in the surrounding area to sell brand new dresses as well. Those vendors plan to have dresses on hand that are purchasable that day so that you may leave with your prom dress or pick up one of their catalogs to order a dress directly from the vendor’s store. Other vendors are also welcome to set up for this event. You will also have the opportunity to schedule hair and nail appointments as hairstylists and nail artists will be set up as well. Many of these plan to offer coupons or a discount card if you book your appointment that day.

If you desire to save money on your prom dress purchase this year then this is the perfect opportunity to do so. Stop in at MCHS and take a look at what the event has to offer.
